Summer Music Camps & Programs 2022

Policies

Maggie's Music Academy (MMA) is dedicated to the safety & well being of each of our students and to providing equal opportunities of all our students and their families.  To protect both our families and Maggie's Music Academy, we abide by the following policies:

1.) Registration is considered complete once the registrant pays account invoice in full.  We cannot hold spots until this occurs.

2.) At least $50 payment is due within 10 days of registration or the registration is dropped.  We accept cash, check, credit cards and PayPal through MyMusicStaff.  All payments are receipted and are kept current in your MyMusicStaff account.  Checks can be mailed to us at: Maggie's Music Academy, PO Box 2344, Franklin NC 28744.  There is a $35 fee for a bounced check or credit/debit card payment.  Online payments are subject to a 3% credit card transaction fee.

3.) Commitment, Payment & Attendance- When you register, we are taking you in good faith that you are going to follow through with payment and attendance.  

Summer Music Camp (Wednesdays 9:30-12:30pm, 6/22 thru 7/27) or (Thursdays 9:30-12:30, 6/22 thru 7/27)

Guitar Camp (Wednesdays 1:00-4:00pm, 6/22 thru 7/27)

Cancellations after June 1st will incur a 20% cancellation fee to help us recoup time and materials already incurred on behalf of your child.  Cancellations less than 1 week prior to the first meeting date will incur a 50% cancellation fee.  There will be no refunds given after June 20th.  It is okay for a student to miss class. (We understand summer is the perfect time for vacations!)  Please however provide the courtesy of messaging us in advance to let us know your child will miss. (And enjoy that trip!)  

A minimum of 5 students must be registered for camp by June 21st in order for camp to make.  If this does not occur, camp will be cancelled and families will receive a 100% refund.  Camp is limited to the first 20 participants who provide complete payment or place a credit card on file.

Musikgarten (Fridays 10:30-11:15, 6/22 thru 8/12):

Cancellations within one week of the first class will incur a 20% cancellation fee to help us recoup time and materials already incurred on behalf of the registrant.  Attendance credits will be kept updated in your MyMusicStaff account and can be accessed at any time using your login.  Families are welcome to upgrade their registration by adding classes at at a rate of $12.50/class, paid in advance.  We are unable to downgrade registrations or offer refunds once the season has started (June 11th).  

Family Materials are an optional, one-time purchase and include a Parent Activity Book and CD with a digital download code.  Instrument kits are also available.  These materials must be paid for in advance as we do not stock them and returns are not permissible with Musikgarten Corporate. 

4.) Materials- A student workbook, craft supplies/materials, a piano keyboard and ukulele will be provided for use during camp hours.  Campers are welcome to use their own personal ukulele at camp as long as it comes consistently with the camper and is in proper working order and it does not cause a distraction.

5.) Social Media & Media Release: We utilize social media to celebrate our students and their accomplishments!  We reserve the right to take pictures and videos of class happenings for publication in print and digital media, including social media.  Families have the option to opt out of their child's face being included in these medias on the registration form.  It is possible for MMA to use these photos & recordings for advertisement purposes even after a student has left the academy.  

6.) Health & Safety: Your child's care and safety is our top priority.  All Summer Camp teachers and assistants have undergone a background check and proper safety training in order to be working with your child.  Orders by the NC Governor pertaining to masking and distancing will be followed.  Parents/Guardians release Maggie's Music Academy, Iotla Valley Elementary, Macon County Schools and all instructors from any liability should any personal injury or illness occur.  MMA,LLC's insurance will only take effect once the student's own insurance coverage has been exhausted.
